Attitude is everything, and if you’ve got a good one, you can be sure that your positive thinking will lead to positive results in life. But how do you keep that positive attitude up at all times?
It requires the ability to simply change your mindset about situations you’re dealing with.  In other words, changing your negative thinking into positive thinking. A useful skill to acquire in life is the ability to look at things from multiple perspectives and grasp the bigger picture. One bad test mark is not the end of your life. Or you may feel like all these problems are being stacked onto you, but if you take it one step at a time, you’ll make it. Today is a new day – let go of yesterday and focus on the present. Here are some tips to help to turn your negative into positives.
# 1 Embrace Adversity
Believe that you are a STRONG person who can handle anything that is thrown your way.  Affirm that adversity is easily overcome through my positive thinking mindset and welcome the challenges that arise.
#2 Avoid the blame game
Your thoughts plus your choices affect your life.  So take responsibility for whatever you can!
#3 Be the victor, not the victim
Choose what you want to become, not what happened to you.  You may have been affected, but it’s in the past now and you can make a decision to do what you can, where you are, with what you have!
#4 Look for the opportunity
Every problem has a positive opportunity ingrained deep inside it.  There’s always a certain amount of value in any situation, and it’s your choice to learn from it and GROW.
#5 Laugh
When caught up in a tense or negative situation, one of the quickest ways to diffuse the energy is to have a good laugh.  Stop right in the middle of the mayhem and tell a good joke or plain out start laughing!  Let the good vibes rush through your body and to those around you – you deserve it.
#6 Say Something Nice
Whether to a friend, family member, or random person in public, it’s surprising how much better you’ll feel when you say something nice to someone.  It’ll change their day and keep yours going the right way!
#7 Find gratitude
If something is not going your way, one of the first things you can do is think of all the things you are grateful for.  Surely you have got it better than many right now, regardless of your situation.  And if you can’t think of anything right away, just be grateful to be alive!
#8 Connect to your vision
When you’re going through a rough patch, refer to your vision board and remind yourself just why you’ve made the decision to be a positive person.  You have goals and want them to be met – the journey toward success is much greater enjoyed when you’re happy about it.
#9 Get excited
Everything is energy and there is an unlimited amount of it all around you at all times.  Turn up the radio, give someone a hug, jump around, or even scream out loud!  Don’t be afraid to give yourself goosebumps – it’s going to take you to a higher level you never knew possible!
#10 Have a success partner
It is very important to have someone you can share goals with, review periodically, and set new ones.  Find a successful person, or people, to be around and you’ll quickly learn that energetic synergy can be created to achieve maximum results.
Here are some examples of how to give the negative a positive spin:
“Negative: I will never be the best at _____ (sport, school, etc.) Positive: I will be the best ME.” – Julia
“I’m scared my life won’t go as planned after High School. But whatever happens I know it will happen for a reason and maybe I can learn something new from it.” – Carman
“I’m hilariously weak, physically. It’s a struggle just to carry groceries or move boxes around. I was really embarrassed going to the school’s fitness center at first, and I still am sometimes. But I’m gradually getting stronger, and it’s important to recognize that progress, as slow as it may be.” – Naoreen
“I hate being in public because I think everyone is judging everything about me and making fun of me but then I think “well they don’t even know me why would they care” and it tends to help a lot.” – John
“I think that I annoy people sometimes, but I guess that the positive side is if some people are annoyed by me acting as myself, they’re people I don’t really want to hang around anyways.” – Jayson

Your attitude is the propellant that will drive you to personal contentment. Your etiquette can either assist you to get through the roadblocks of life and inconsequential bumps with ease. Your frame of mind determines the selections you make and how you feel about people and the stuffs around you. You have positive attitude means you know how to react to the situation you encounter. In my opinion, a youth needs to follow the above ways so that he can develop a positive attitude and regulate his personal power as well as himself from inside and out.
